Collection eye brow kit review

Hey guys! Today I am doing a review of collection's eyebrow kit review. I never particularly bothered with my eyebrows but recently I have been wanting to try new products on them. I really like this little kit, it's small and compact and there is quite a considerable amount of product. It comes with three powder colours, a blonde/ light brown one, a darkish brown one and a very dark brown/ black colour. It also comes with a  little clear brow mascara (which has now turned a murky brown colour but still comes out clear) which I really like, unlike say Rimmel's kit where you have to buy the brow mascara separately. The product also comes with a small angled brush and a flat brush. I personally don't use them, the brush is very small but it is actually a good brush and I have kept it for when I am doing my makeup on the go.

I use a mixture of the lightest and the middle colour for my eyebrows and it is the perfect colour. It lasts all day and the mascara helps shape and keep it on all day. My favourite thing about this product is that it is only £3 and it is a really good brow product. Despite it being cheap, the packaging is really nice, it doesn't feel flimsy or as if it will break and it comes with a little mirror which is cute and useful.

("You mean that used to be clear?")

I feel that for people who want to start to experiment with doing their eyebrows this is a really good product to discover what colour you need ect, as you haven't lost much money if it is wrong, but I personally feel the 3 colours would mean that the product will be the right colour for most people's eyebrows. I have been using this product everyday for about a month and as you can see I have barely made an indent in the colours.

My only concern is that the clear brow mascara is going to run out quicker than the product, and I may have to try and find a separate clear brow mascara to buy somewhere else as I don't want to buy the product again simply for the mascara or I will end up with loads of these kits!

I would definitely recommend this product as a high street brow kit for everyone. And the best part is if it isn't right for you, you've not lost much money!
Have you tried this? What do you think?

Mental health awareness march 2016

Hey guys! In a few weeks I will be starting my mental health awareness march campaign again. This is the third year I have done this now and once again I am asking for your help! I love it so much when people get involved and it's something which can bring a lot of people together and raise awareness for different mental illnesses. Feel free to send me blog posts you have written and would like me to post. You don't have to be a blogger or anything, just to have a passion for wanting to raise awareness for mental health. This could be a story you feel comfortable sharing about yourself or others, or perhaps more of a factual post about a particular illness you would like to talk about.

If you don't want to share your own writing but would like me to write about a particular illness, then please also contact me and smitheh01@gmail.com.

If you just want to show your support, please share this so as many people as possible can see this. Help me spread word about my campaign and hopefully more people will help out! Use the hashtag #mentalhealthawearnessmarch on twitter or Instagram or google plus ect and so I can find your posts and it will help us all connect together.

Here are three of many posts I have done in the past two years, and things people have sent to me for some inspiration! I had additionally done others on  anxiety, anorexia, binge eating and OCD to name but a few other posts i have done. If you want to find others, you can find my archive at the side of the page and look at my posts in march for the last two yeas.

Rebel of the sands- book review

Hey guys! Seems like it's been ages since I posted last, mainly because it has been! But am back today with a book review which was sent to me to read and review. The book is called Rebel of the sands and it is the first novel of an author called Alwyn Hamilton.

I enjoyed this book, it's a light read that's very vivid and was a nice escape from reality. Set in the desert, I really liked how the characters were not the usual stereotypical white American teenagers. The discriptions of the settings were vivid and throughout reading the book it was easy to imagine and picture what was happening. I liked all the characters too, Amani, the main heroin was fiesty and easy to get inside the head of.

However, I felt that in some places detail was missed out, for example in the big battle at the end, it was said that Amani couldn't remember much of the battle and had to be filled in as to what happened, I would have preferred it if we had experienced more of it through her eyes. Additionally when Jin (the love interest and other main character) and Amani were travaling with a group of people called the camels knees, I felt a lot of information and detail was missed out, I found myself wanting to know more about these people. Because of this lack of detail I found it difficult to understand why they went back to rescue them; I did not really care for the characters as I could has done If the time spent with them was explained in further detail.

Although the love interest between Jin and Amani was a little obvious, it wasn't too over played and it didn't saturate the novel. I really loved the setting of the novel and the many unexpected twists and turns the novel took, which I can say I never saw coming. Overall I would say this was a nice light and refreshing read if you want to escape your life and live in a rather more exciting one for a while.

You can buy the book here on amazon for only £4.00.

Have you read this? What did you think?
Lots of love,
